2009 Black Hills Roundup
The 90th Annual Black Hills Roundup PRCA Rodeo and Events will be July 2, 3 and 4, 2009, at Belle Fourche, SD. The Roundup is one of the oldest continuously held outdoor rodeos in America. For five exciting days surrounding the July 4th holiday, thousands of regional residents, and people from across the country and abroad, come to Belle Fourche to celebrate. Tickets and reserved seating are available through the Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce. Top ranked cowboys and cowgirls perform in the many events including barrel racing, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, team roping and more. Spectators will be able to view the action while enjoying new seating - part of $600,000 of improvements finished in 2006. Also part of the festivities is a mile-long parade, concerts, a barbecue, week-long carnival, a western arts round-up, the Miss Rodeo South Dakota contest and more. Please come and visit the Tri-State Museum in Belle Fourche, located at 415 5th Ave, to see historic Black Hills Roundup Rodeo pictures, saddles, outfits, and much more. For more information call the Tri-State Museum at (605)723-1200.
